3 Jaguars players the Cleveland Browns should be concerned about

The Jacksonville Jaguars might be 1-9, but the Cleveland Browns cannot afford to overlook them. The Jags have played the Titans, Chargers, Texans, and Packers close, and have beaten the Colts. There are three main players the Browns cannot allow to have big games, especially with their two, and perhaps three, best defensive players out this week.

3. D.J. Chark, Wide Receiver

D.J. Chark emerged as one of the NFL’s best deep threats last season and has been solid once again this year. His 6-4 frame combined with his 4.34 speed makes him a nightmare mismatch, and the Browns will be without Denzel Ward this week. That’s a recipe for disaster.

Terrance Mitchell and perhaps Kevin Johnson may be able to keep Chark somewhat in check. But if Chark gets matched up with M.J. Stewart or Tavierre Thomas (or even A.J. Green or Stephen Denmark from the practice squad), things could get ugly. And it’s not Andrew Sendejo will be able to provide much assistance over the top.

Oh, and speaking of safeties, Ronnie Harrison is day-to-day with a knee injury that forced him to miss nearly the entire Eagles game (that injury happened on a play where Sendejo dove and rolled into Harrison’s leg, coincidentally enough), so he may not be able to provide any help. Chark has had three games with over 80 receiving yards this season. As long as the weather cooperates, it would be a surprise if he didn’t make that four this week.
