Pick Analysis. 879. 5.161. player. Scouting Report. WR. Clemson. AmariRodgers

The Browns need more Rashard Higgins’; receivers who aren’t superstars, and aren’t paid like superstars, but who consistently get open and catch the ball. That’s Amari Rodgers. He isn’t overly big or fast, but he’s an excellent route runner who seems like the type of player who could build excellent chemistry with Baker Mayfield. Rodgers doubles as a returner, which would also fill a need for Cleveland. Coming from Clemson, he also brings a winning attitude.

6.200. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT. BYU. KhyirisTonga. 861

Khyiris Tonga may not be the BYU Cougar that some Browns fans want, but he fills a need nonetheless. He’s a massive 6-4, 321 pounds and provides some pass-rush juice to go along with his run-plugging. Vincent Taylor has had a rough time as Cleveland’s backup 1-tech (well, technically, he’s the team’s only 1-tech, but anyway…), and Tonga would be a better spell for Andrew Billings in 2021 and beyond.

WR. North Carolina. player. 838. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DyamiBrown. 7.244

Another receiver who may not have elite physical tools, Dyami Brown hasn’t let that stop him from becoming perhaps the class’s best natural pass-catcher. It seems like every week he makes an unbelievable grab, and has averaged 19.4 yards per reception over the past two seasons while hauling in 20 touchdowns.

With this draft class, the Browns would still have some work to do on the defensive front-seven, but the secondary would be pretty much set for the future. That’s the more important position group anyway, and if quarterbacks aren’t able to throw quickly anymore, Myles Garrett and company will see their numbers improve significantly. Mayfield also gets two new targets to build a rapport with, and Cleveland gears up for another playoff run in 2021.
