The Daily Dawg Tags looks at where the Cleveland Browns must get better
For the first time since 2007, the Cleveland Browns will not finish with a losing record. Following their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, they’re now 8-3 and are one win away from guaranteeing they will have their first winning record since their 10-win campaign in ’07.
Even better, they’re currently the fifth seed which could lead to them ending the longest playoff drought in the NFL — having missed the tournament every year since 2002. Having said that, this team is not satisfied.
Baker Mayfield said as much as the quarterback spoke after the game on how he needs to improve. That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

"“I know I can be better….and I will be,’’ Mayfield tweeted. “Job isn’t finished, lot of ball left. We’re 8-3 and not satisfied. That’s the best part about this team.’’"
Mayfield knows he missed some throws and Mary Kay alluded to a couple of them in her title. There was a drive that ended in a field goal but Mayfield had Rashard Higgins open in the end zone followed by Jarvis Landry. He missed on both passes, and while it didn’t cost them the game against the Jaguars, it could against a playoff-caliber team.
‘Harder than it should have been’: Browns have 8 wins for first time since 2007 — John Telich, FOX 8
"“We made it harder than it should have been. That’s a good team over there,” said coach Kevin Stefanski."
Stefanski is right that the Browns made it harder than it needed to be. There were several chances to put this one out of reach but they kept allowing Jacksonville to hang around and made too many mistakes. The good news is, they’re 8-3 and in place for a playoff run with the calendar about to turn to December.
