Bold predictions as the Cleveland Browns travel to Tennessee

In 2019 the expectations for the Cleveland Browns were higher than ever. Those expectations were quickly wrecked when the Tennessee Titans came to town and quickly exposed all the holes on the Browns roster. That opening Sunday was as disappointing of a day as I remember since the return in 1999, and the team never really recovered.

After a win that was much tougher than it should have been in Jacksonville last week, the 8-3 Browns have not time to rest as they must get another win in Tennessee on Sunday to keep control of their destiny in their playoff run.

Below are five bold predictions for the Browns game on Sunday.

5. Special teams help

It’s not very often that the special teams get a mention, but in a game like this, the Browns will have to win in each aspect of the game to have a chance at pulling off the upset. Normally you can root for the offense or the defense to show up and the team will have a chance.

To beat the Titans the Browns will have to be tremendous on kick coverage and not waste any scoring opportunities. Look for Jamie Gillan to have a punt down inside the five-yard line and Cody Parkey to hit all his extra point and field goal attempts.  This game will likely take touchdowns to win, but the special teams will be a huge part of next week’s game.
