Here’s Baker Mayfield’s projected stat line for the end of the season

Through 11 games and 12 weeks, the biggest debate in the Cleveland Browns fan base is over quarterback Baker Mayfield and his future with the franchise. After a stellar rookie season and a poor sophomore slump, Baker has had a very inconsistent third season in the NFL. At times he has made some incredible throws that only the cream of the crop at the position could make. Other times he has missed some wide open and easy passes that most backups in the NFL can make.

It’s easy to get lost in each game and make assumptions about the player based on one game. Here we plan to lay out Baker Mayfield’s stat line through his first 11 games and show you what he is on pace to finish within each major statistical category. The statistical categories that we will be focusing on are passing yards, touchdowns, interceptions, and completion percentage.

These are the standard metrics of evaluating quarterback play, so it is best to show you them so you can make your own decisions on whether Baker Mayfield is the quarterback of the future for the Cleveland Browns.

So far on the season, Baker Mayfield has completed 180 of his 294 passes for a completion percentage of 61.2 percent for 2,108 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. This stat line looks to be a vast improvement from a season ago. Mayfield has gotten a much smaller workload but has been significantly more efficient in his play.

All statistics mentioned in this article have been taken from pro-football-reference.com. With that being said, let’s take a dive into the first statistical category, passing yards.
