Cleveland Browns 2021 NFL mock draft Week 13 edition offers defensive makeover

The Wolverines are not a very good football team (some might even say they are very bad), but they have two quality EDGEs in Kwity Paye and Aidan Hutchinson. Paye may end up being the first pass-rusher taken, but Hutchinson does not possess the same athletic gifts, so he’ll fall a bit further. Still, he’s got very good size at 6-6 270 pounds and, much like Twyman, uses technique to win. He’s a consistent pass-rusher and a reliable run defender. It’s unlikely he’ll ever be a great play at the next level, but he’ll almost certainly be good. As a depth EDGE who can fill in and not allow the defense to miss a beat, that’s plenty valuable to take at the tail end of the third round.
Regardless of what the team decides to do concerning the futures of Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, the Browns need a true X receiver. Another 2020 opt-out, Sage Surratt dealt with inconsistent play from quarterback Jamie Newman, but still managed to catch 66 passes for 1,001 yards and 11 touchdowns. He’s a big-bodied target at 6-3 215 pounds but creates separation at a high level and hauls in contested catches like it’s nothing. 46 of his grabs last season went for first downs, and it’s easy to see him becoming Baker Mayfield’s favorite chain-mover in Cleveland.
