The Cleveland Browns have their hands full with these 3 Titans

The Cleveland Browns travel down to Nashville to take on the AFC South-leading Tennessee Titans in a high-stakes Week 13 matchup. Both teams come into the contest sporting 8-3 records and have their sights aimed at post-season play. The Browns have lost three straight times to the Titans, but still lead the all-time record in the series (35-32).

On top of the postseason ramifications, this is also a statement game for both franchises. The Browns need a win to prove to themselves that they belong with the elite of the AFC, and the Titans need to win to show that they are still legitimate contenders with super bowl aspirations. With the possibility of these teams meeting for a second time later in the playoffs, establishing who is the A-side in this matchup would be an added bonus.

Here are three Titans that the Browns need to be concerned with in Sunday’s game.

Titan No. 3:  Jonnu Smith

Jonnu Smith is often the most overlooked offensive weapon on the Titans roster. The fourth-year tight end has quietly become one of the best at his position in the entire NFL.

Smith has followed up his breakout 2019 campaign by turning in a career-year so far in 2020. Through 11 games, Smith has recorded 30 receptions for 338 yards and seven touchdowns. Those seven touchdown receptions tie Smith with Travis Kelce for the most in the league by a tight-end. Although Smith has a rushing touchdown on the season as well to give him eight total touchdowns on the year.

However, the most overlooked aspect of Smith’s game is his ability to move the chains. Of Smith’s 30 receptions, 18 have resulted in a first down for the Titans. Given the Browns’ defensive tendency for allowing brutally lengthy drives, Smith could be in line for a big game.

Smith also has the luxury of being the least known commodity of the Titans’ three-headed offensive monster. Death by Smith may be preferable in comparison to the following two players on this list.
