Stud: Baker Mayfield

It feels great to slap Baker Mayfield on the studs list. This is by far the best game he has played all season and it came at the time that the Cleveland Browns needed it the most. Completing 25/33 passes for a completion percentage of 75.8, for 334 yards and four touchdowns, Mayfield has put his name up in contention for AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Baker also had one catch for six yards, that had a nice toe touch on the sideline. When Mayfield is hot he can be one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL. He proved that tonight, absolutely torching the defense of the Tennessee Titans. This was a bit of a revenge game for the Cleveland Browns, as they were blown out the last time that they went up against the Titans. Mayfield is one of the most fun quarterbacks to watch in the NFL when he is doing well, and that is a big asterisk.

Dud: Kareem Hunt

It’s rare to see Kareem Hunt, who has been amazing for the Cleveland Browns this season, end up on the duds list. However, he is deserving of it this week. Hunt had 14 carries for 33 yards, along with three catches for 24 yards. He was good in the passing game, coming up with some clutch catches.

When a running back gets 14 carries though, they need to get more than 33 yards. 2.36 yards per carry is not what you want to see out of any NFL running back, especially one that you’re giving more than 10 carries to. Hunt will most likely bounce back next week against the Baltimore Ravens, but as of this week, he was disappointing to watch. He was probably the only weak spot on offense, and it isn’t entirely his fault, as it seems the Titans had the Browns number in the run game whenever he was in.
