Bold predictions as the Cleveland Browns play in prime time

As the Cleveland Browns come off their biggest win of the season, they head into another week where they could end the playoff hopes of the Baltimore Ravens with a big win on Monday night. Because of a COVID outbreak, the Ravens played on Wednesday night last week, Tuesday night this week, and then Monday night in week 14 vs. the Browns. The wild schedule has certainly thrown off their routine, but look for them to be at full strength and hungry for a much-needed win.

After getting revenge for last year’s week one beatdown from the Titans last week, can the Browns pick up back-to-back revenge wins? Fans surely haven’t forgotten about the 38-6-week one loss at Baltimore that felt like it was over before the end of the first quarter. Here are five bold predictions for the Browns next biggest game of the year.

5. Joe Woods adjusts

The Browns defense set the tone early with a fourth and one stuff of all-pro running back Derrick Henry who has been on a tear recently. While the Cleveland offense going wild helped contain Henry, defensive coordinator Joe Woods also did his part with a large amount of five-man fronts to slow down the Titans run game.

Henry who had over 400 rushing yards and four touchdowns in the last three weeks was held to just 60 yards and one lone touchdown. And while the Titans were forced to throw the ball and play catch up, the Browns five-man front played the run the best they have all season. The entire team gang tackled and kept the Titans in second and third and long all afternoon.

Look for Woods to do the exact same thing vs. the Ravens on Monday night. Yes, the Browns secondary may give up a few big plays as they will be crowding the box but forcing Lamar Jackson into throwing the football has been the winning recipe in the past.
