3. Total focus

Although the Browns enter week 13 at 9-3 and second place in the division, they haven’t played a full game the entire season. One week the offense plays well, the next the defense carries the team, but it’s time to see a full 60-minute game from both sides of the ball.

Not only do fans want to see it, if this team has any chance at winning a playoff game it will take a complete effort to get it done.  While the win against the Titans was a great start to beating good teams, there is a valid argument that the rest of the Browns wins are against mediocre talent. That talk can end this week with a full performance on both sides of the ball and a 14-point victory in primetime vs. a Super Bowl favorite heading into the season.

This means no silly pre-snap penalties on offense that put you behind the chains early, and certainly, no personal fouls that give the opposing team an automatic first down. The Browns had been decent all year but were very sloppy with killer penalties in last week’s victory.

I’m sure Stefanski wasn’t happy about this and I expect the penalties to be cleaned up. I also expect the Browns to be more than motivated after the Ravens handled them with ease in week one.
