Some under the radar Cleveland Browns to watch in Week 14

The Cleveland Browns are riding a four-game win streak into primetime for their second showdown with the Baltimore Ravens.

Of course, the Browns came out on the wrong end of the 38-6 beatdown against the Ravens in Week 1. Cleveland fell behind early, and quarterback Baker Mayfield completed just 53 percent of his 39 attempts.

Much has changed for both squads since that September beatdown in Baltimore. For the Browns, head coach Kevin Stefanski has emerged as a Coach of the Year candidate, leading Cleveland to a 9-3 record for the first time since 1994. Offensively, a clear-cut identity of running the football with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt has been established, utilizing fullback Andy Janovich behind Bill Callahan’s much-improved front five.

Not to mention, Mayfield has finally settled in.

Since Week 7, Mayfield joins Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and Deshaun Watson as the highest-rated NFL quarterbacks with at least 125 attempts. On the whole season, Mayfield ranks No. 12 in QBR.

For the Ravens, they’ve endured the entire 2020 experience.

In total, the Ravens added 20 players to the COVID-19 Reserve List as positive cases or high-risk, close contacts. As a result of these cases, the Ravens had several games rescheduled. Quarterback Lamar Jackson also tested positive and missed a start, and even struggled to throw the ball when he was healthy. The Ravens are 7-5 and in third place in the AFC North, but still fighting for a Wild Card spot.

The Browns were held to just six points the first time these two teams played, but Baltimore is a beatable team now. If Cleveland would like to put the league on notice, on primetime, these three players need to step.
