830. Scouting Report. Cincinnati. MyjaiSanders. player. Pick Analysis. EDGE. 4.105

EDGE could be addressed much earlier on, but the way Oliver Vernon has played over the past three games (when he’s finally been healthy) could make re-signing him a priority, and that would make EDGE a lesser need in the draft. Myjai Sanders has taken a big step forward this season and would be a terrific value in the fourth round. He’s an athletic 6-5 260 pounds with the strength to hold up well against the run and the pass-rushing ability to take advantage of the one-on-one opportunities that Myles Garrett provides. The Browns will be taking an edge defender in this draft; the question is how high?

Even if Cleveland takes a pass-rushing three-tech, they shouldn’t be done adding to the interior defensive line. Vincent Taylor is not the long-term solution at backup one-tech behind Andrew Billings, and with how much Woods likes to rotate his DTs, investing in a backup is wise. McNeil stands 6-2, 320 pounds and is a great run stopper with some pass-rush juice. He could combine with Haskell Garrett to form a starting-caliber backup DT duo, which is something the Browns thought they were going to have this season with Billings and Elliott. Improving the middle of the line will only help the linebackers out, which is a position group that could look very different next season.
