1. Baker Mayfield, Quarterback

Baker Mayfield will be the most pivotal player in deciding whether or not the Browns’ success will end in the first round of the playoffs or if they are going to make a deeper run. His improved decision making and accuracy is exactly what the team needs for that run.

Baker Mayfield has only thrown seven interceptions on the season, which is on pace to be less than half of the number he put up last season (21). Baker Mayfield’s decision making has been the best of his career during the past couple of games. The turnover battle is the most decisive battle in a football game and Mayfield is keeping the Browns on the winning side.

The Cleveland starter has been operating more like a game manager and less like a young quarterback. He has been flourishing in the Kevin Stefanski offense and will continue to do so as the season comes to a close.

Mayfield has also been threading the football through tight windows with supreme accuracy. In this tweet, Dan Orlovsky dissects a few passes where Mayfield is making great decisions and making elite passes.

Baker Mayfield has shown drastic improvement this season and it will only continue as the Browns head into January.
