Wyatt Teller headlines the Cleveland Browns Week 15 injury report
With the Cleveland Browns ready to play the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, they had a mix of good and bad news on the injury front. The good news is that cornerback Denzel Ward looks as though he will be ready to play.
Ward has missed the Browns’ last three games and the secondary has struggled mightily without him. Should he return, it would be a huge boost to the defense.
As for the bad news, Cleveland will be without a starter on both sides of the ball. Guard Wyatt Teller is out with an ankle injury suffered in Week 14 and safety Andrew Sendejo will also miss time as he was dealt a concussion in that same game.
In addition to those two, five players were listed as questionable — with Ward being one of them. Also questionable is starting tight end Austin Hooper and one of the reserve tight ends David Njoku. Hoper missed last week with a neck injury but could return in Week 15.
The Browns injury report, courtesy of their official website, can be found below:
Out
Wyatt Teller, G (ankle)
Andrew Sendejo, S (concussion)
Questionable
Denzel Ward, CB (calf)
Kevin Johnson, CB (groin)
Austin Hooper, TE (neck)
David Njoku, TE (knee)
KhaDarel Hodge, WR (hamstring)
As for the Giants, their website has one player listed as out, and three with the questionable designation, including their starting quarterback Daniel Jones.
Out
Darnay Holmes, CB (knee)
Questionable
Kaden Smith, TE (knee)
Evan Engram, TE (calf)
Daniel Jones, QB (hamstring/ankle)
If Daniel Jones is unable to go, Colt McCoy will be the starter. That would mean the Browns would face a former head coach in Freddie Kitchens (who is calling plays in place of Jason Garrett who is on the Covid list) and a former QB in McCoy.
