Cleveland Browns add pair of Buckeyes in NFL mock draft at Week 16

Speaking of secondary, Cleveland isn’t done quite yet. Ar’Darius Washington is just 5-8 and 175 pounds, and he hasn’t been quite as good in 2020 as he was in 2019, but his range, instincts, and athletic ability are things you just can’t teach. The Browns need three starting safeties, and Washington’s skillset makes him a great fit next to Grant Delpit and Ronnie Harrison Jr.
His versatility would allow Joe Woods to play chess with all three of his safeties, moving them around pre and post-snap to confuse opposing quarterbacks and take full advantage of his players’ abilities. Trevon Moehrig, Washington’s collegiate teammate, will be taken earlier, but Washington will end up outplaying his draft slot.
The Browns need a true home run threat at receiver, and someone they can run jet sweeps and the like with. At first, that was JoJo Natson, but he made little impact before suffering a torn ACL. Marvin Hall has yet to be active and is purely a vertical threat. There are plenty of speedy athletes in this draft class, and Anthony Schwartz is one of the very fastest.
He still needs some polish in the finer points of the position, but his deep speed and short-area quickness are both elite. He’d add a much-needed dynamic to the offense, and would allow Kevin Stefanski to open up the playbook even more.
