The Cleveland Browns are scheduled to play the New York Jets in a game that has major playoff implications. If the Browns win, they will obtain a record of 11-4. With a win or tie, the Browns will clinch a playoff spot.
Some of the possible scenarios for a Browns’ playoff birth after this week against the Jets would be a Browns win paired with a loss or tie from the Baltimore Ravens. The second scenario would be a Cleveland win paired with a loss or tie from the Miami Dolphins. The third option is a Cleveland win paired with a loss from the Indianapolis Colts. Another scenario is a Cleveland tie paired with a loss from the Ravens. The final scenario would be a tie from the Browns paired with a loss from the Dolphins.
With the final game of the year being against the division-leading Pittsburgh Steelers, it makes it essential that the Browns take care of business this week against the Jets.
The New York Jets are a very beatable team for Cleveland. They have a record of 1-13 and are currently in the middle of a tank for Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence. As a result of this, the Jets do not even want to win this game or they would likely lose the No. 1 pick they need for Lawrence.
