1. Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR

Donovan Peoples-Jones was drafted in the sixth round of the most recent NFL draft but that didn’t stop him from creating instant production for the Browns offense. He has been one of Baker Mayfield’s favorite deep threats over the last couple of weeks, and he has not disappointed.

Peoples-Jones took over the punt and kick returning duties early in the season after Jojo Natson’s season-ending injury. However, it wasn’t until the past month where Peoples-Jones saw consistent playing time on offense.

Peoples-Jones had his first game where he saw significant playing time against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. In that game, he made a spectacular catch to complete the game-winning drive.

Over the past month, Peoples-Jones has continued to see an increase in playing time after injuries to Odell Beckham Jr and KhaDarel Hodge created a hole in the wide receiver core. With more snaps available, Peoples-Jones has played in over half of the snaps in the last three games.

Mayfield loves to look to Peoples-Jones deep, and he has the speed to take the top off of the defense. In that play, Peoples-Jones makes a beautiful double move that creates miles of separation between himself and the defender.

Donovan Peoples-Jones has stepped up wonderfully in relief of the injured wide receivers for the Browns. He’s performed well under the radar but if this continues, he won’t be under the radar for long. Peoples-Jones is the real deal and could be important in a playoff run for the Browns.
