2. Consistency from Baker Mayfield

The second thing that will be on the Cleveland Browns’ Christmas list is consistency from Baker Mayfield. Mayfield is currently on a tear of playing some of the best football of his NFL career. The offense is looking almost unstoppable, even when playing against solid defenses like the Baltimore Ravens.

Cleveland needs Baker to keep playing like this so the offense does not go back to being so one dimensional. If Mayfield does take a step or two back later in the season, the Browns will have to revert back to running the ball on almost every play. With the incredible play of Mayfield lately, the Browns have been able to keep defenses on their toes and pass the ball more than they were at the beginning of the season.

Along with this, if Baker reverts back to his sophomore season self, there is no chance that the Browns will even come close to winning a playoff game. His second year in the league was the season that he threw only one more touchdown than interception.

If Mayfield is playing at the top of his game, the Browns can keep pace or beat almost any team in the league. If he comes out feeling dangerous and firing on all cylinders, the Browns have the potential to maybe even pull off a first-round upset in the playoffs. If they make it.
