Will the Cleveland Browns beat the Jets in Week 16?

With Christmas day in the rearview, we can now look ahead to Sunday — which will be when we see the Cleveland Browns in action for their 15th game of the season.

For Browns fans, the best gift is the fact that Cleveland is still alive this late in the year. Not only that, but they can also clinch a playoff spot should they win this weekend. A win that would be No. 11 on the year.

It also seems as though this should be a game the Browns win. They’re on the road but facing the New York Jets, who are just 1-13. It’s the second game in a row the Browns will play at MetLife Stadium, after just beating the New York Giants in prime time one week ago.

So can they secure the win and improve to 11-4? That’s the exact question some members of the DPD crew answer here.

Summary: With nothing left to lose for, the Jets put up a valiant fight this week. But even with a solid effort, the talent disparity is just too much for them to overcome. The Browns find a way to get to 11 wins and hope for some help in clinching a playoff spot.

Prediction: Browns 27, Jets 19

Summary: The Jets may have won their first game last week, but they’re still the worst team in the NFL. The Browns won’t look past them and they’ll take care of business.

Prediction: Cleveland 28, New York 13

Summary: The Browns get caught sleeping in the first half making this game closer than it should be. However, they pull it together at halftime and win a game that’s closer than it should’ve been.

Prediction: Cleveland 35, New York 26
