The 5 best games of the Cleveland Browns 2020 season

The Cleveland Browns persevered through a difficult season to finish 11-5 and will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the playoffs. There were plenty of ups and downs, and the cursed year threw plenty of curveballs at the team, but they rolled with the punches and proved the Browns are officially (finally) back. Here are Cleveland’s 5 best games of 2020.

5. Week 5 vs. Indianapolis Colts

At this point in the season, the Browns were 3-1 with their only loss coming in the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. Nearly blowing a massive lead against the Dallas Cowboys didn’t help the national view of the team, and this game was a chance for Cleveland to prove they were legitimately good.

Thanks to a scorching first half from Baker Mayfield against the best defense in the NFL at the time, the Browns ended up winning 32-23. The defense forced two Philip Rivers interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown by Ronnie Harrison Jr. Myles Garrett also forced a safety in the fourth quarter.

The next game against the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t go well, but the victory against Indy proved that the Browns were capable of going toe-to-toe with AFC playoff contenders. The second half was a bit stressful, but the Cleveland defense made plays when it needed to, including a game-sealing interception by Sheldrick Redwine, filling in for the injured Ronnie Harrison Jr., who was himself filling in for the injured Karl Joseph.
