Cleveland Browns land Myles Garrett’s partner in Wild Card 2021 NFL mock draft

Another versatile defensive back, Jevon Holland can play slot or safety, and while he may not have excellent physical traits, he more than makes up for it with brilliant instincts and reaction time. He’s about as cerebral a DB as you’ll find, and like Wade, is best in the slot or at safety. Holland picked off nine passes over his two years in school, and opted out of the 2020 season.
That may hurt his stock slightly, but not much. He’s a great player and would be a difference-maker on any team, especially one that is in desperate need of dependable secondary members like the Browns are.
Alabama defensive tackles are typically a pretty safe bet, and Christian Barmore is next in line. He was a fantastic pass-rusher in a rotational role last season, and after starting a bit slow as a full-time starter in 2020, has really turned it on over the second half of the campaign.
He’s a massive 6-5, 310 pounds who can get after the quarterback in all sorts of ways. Adding Barmore and Andrew Billings to the DT room, even if Sheldon Richardson or Larry Ogunjobi (or both) departs would be a net positive. The Browns need consistent interior pressure, and Barmore can provide that.
