Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns: How to stream NFL Wild Card Weekend
The NFL Playoffs are about to begin. Here’s how to stream the matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns.
The Cleveland Browns enter the NFL Playoffs as the 6-seed in the AFC after winning four of their last six contests. The Pittsburgh Steelers looked like the best team in the AFC after starting 11-0, but between injuries and a stacked schedule due to COVID rescheduling, the Steel City limped to the barn with a 12-4 record.
How We Got Here
The Steelers lead the Browns 77-60-1 in the all-time series. Cleveland won the latest matchup, but Pittsburgh blew out the Browns back in October.
I suppose the best place to start is here: Congrats to Cleveland. Seriously. After nearly 20 years of turmoil, the Browns have made the Playoffs for the first time since 2002. That deserves to be appreciated.
But, when you look at the matchup it would appear to line up in Pittsburgh’s favor. Back in October, the Steelers decimated the Browns 38-7, breaking up a four-game win streak.
Last week, Cleveland did pick up a 24-22 win, but the Steelers were without Ben Roethlisberger, Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt and other starters.
Speaking of Big Ben, there are plenty of question marks surrounding the 38-year-old quarterback. Can he still deliver in the biggest moments? Is he healthy enough for a Super Bowl run?
These are questions that only he can answer.
On the Cleveland side, Baker Mayfield looked insanely better than he did in 2019. The offensive scheme changes benefitted the entire offense. Mayfield finished the year with 3,563 passing yards and 26 touchdowns. But perhaps most importantly, just eight interceptions.
Between improved offensive line play, a deadly backfield duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and a nasty pass rush anchored by Myles Garrett, the Browns are no slouch.
However, the same can be said for Pittsburgh – especially defensively. The Steelers generated 325 pressures on the season, with Watt leading the way with 77. For reference, no other team had more than 300 in 2020.
