Cleveland Browns: 4 under-the-radar 2021 NFL Draft prospects to watch
By Cory Kinnan
3. Divine Deablo, S, Virginia Tech
The Browns need versatility on the defensive side of the football. You routinely see them linked to the big named linebacker out of Notre Dame Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah as he has the versatility to play at the second level, third level, and in the nickel. However, if the Browns are looking for a late day-two or early day-three target to add a chess piece to their defense, Virginia Tech safety Divine Deablo fits the bill.
For a safety, Deablo is a massive prospect, listed at a whopping 6-foot-3 and 223 pounds. A converted wide receiver, Deablo became a stat sheet stuffer for the Hokies this season, proving he has a place at the next level and in the 2021 NFL Draft. In 2020, Deablo racked up 32 solo tackles, two tackles for loss, four interceptions, four passes defended, and one forced fumble.

Given his size, Deablo can play deep over the top, he can stack the box, and has shown the ability to navigate space as well as he can play in the nickel. The Browns have been lacking that player who can move all over the defense as a chess piece, and Deablo has the potential to be that prospect at the next level while wearing the brown and orange.
