OBJ calling for a Cleveland Browns win at Kansas City

There’s a huge game this weekend for the Cleveland Browns, which is a wonderful thing to be saying as we hit mid-January.

Following their win in the Wild Card Round over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Browns are now ready to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. As was the case for them last week, they are again underdogs but one man is saying not to count them out.

Odell Beckham, Jr. — the Cleveland wideout who is rehabbing a torn ACL — has been following his team from home and claims we shouldn’t be surprised when the Browns win again this weekend.

Beckham, the superstar receiver who was added ahead of the 2019 season, was a huge part of the team’s new identity that began when former general manager John Dorsey started to rebuild the roster. In his first season with Cleveland, OBJ had 74 receptions for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns.

Even with those numbers, he felt he wasn’t good enough and focused on balling out in 2020 under the new system implemented by Kevin Stefanski. Unfortunately, he was only able to play in seven games before tearing his ACL and has had to watch as the Browns went from a bumbling franchise to an 11-win team that beat up on the Steelers in the playoffs while commanding the respect of the NFL.

Despite not being on the field with this team, Beckham is still very close to many of the players, including Jarvis Landry who was a teammate of his back at LSU. He’s been outspoken about his belief in his teammates and if he’s right, he will be cheering them on in the AFC Championship Game shortly.
