The Cleveland Browns put up a valiant effort in the Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs, but their comeback bid ultimately fell short. It was a strange game filled with key injuries for both teams, and the two sides combined for just 39 points, a number far short of the 57-point line set for the match.

Here are three team members who stood out for the right reasons, and three who stood out for the wrong ones.

Dud: Jarvis Landry

Jarvis Landry did make a nice grab to haul in a touchdown, but overall this game showed the significant shortcomings he has as a player. He caught seven passes for just 20 yards, and given his lack of speed and inability to beat man coverage, ran short routes all game long.

He also dropped a good throw from Baker Mayfield that jumped into the hands of Tyrann Mathieu, who also dropped the ball. Landry is paid to be an elite No. 1 receiver, and he just isn’t that. Against a fast and modern defense, the Cleveland offense struggled despite a banner day from Mayfield. Landry was a big part of that.

Landry’s future with the Browns is a bit cloudy, but the fact remains that they needed his very best to beat the Chiefs, and he was unable to bring it. His cultural impact on this team cannot be overstated, but in a vacuum, he’s not WR1 material, and unfortunately was forced into that role this season. It finally caught up to the Browns.
