Cleveland Browns news: Myles Garrett comments on ludicrous head-hunting claim
By Randy Gurzi
Travis Kecle may be a great NFL tight end, but he isn’t a great judge of whether or not someone is trying to hurt another player. After narrowly beating the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Kelce says that the Browns were trying to hurt Patrick Mahomes.
In the game in question, Mahomes did have to leave with a concussion and while there was nothing that looked malicious on the play, Kelce claimed Cleveland defenders were acting as though linebacker Mack Wilson was celebrating the injury.
Of course, anyone who was paying attention to the actual game should realize that the Browns defenders were probably more likely celebrating a stop on a short-yardage situation. And what is also comical about this is the fact that the Chiefs were the ones who swung the game on an actual illegal hit when safety Daniel Sorensen violently (and dangerously) led with the helmet and hit Rashard Higgins.
That play wasn’t called and it also forced a turnover that stopped the Browns from scoring near the end of the first half. Many Browns fans were unhappy that the ‘worst rule in sports’ hurt their team but no one made any ludicrous claims about head-hunting.
The good news is, Mahomes and Wilson seem fine as the quarterback responded to No. 51 saying he was praying for Mahomes so it seems as though all this is in the head of Kelce. Still, Myles Garrett felt the need to comment on the un-founded claims anyway.

"“I want to say that nobody on our team is headhunting, going after guys or trying to hurt a guy, no matter how good he is,” Garrett said, via 92.3 The Fan. “We are praying for [Mahomes’] recovery and praying for his success. He has always been a quality guy and the way he does stuff for the community. He is a leader on and off the field that you appreciate seeing, especially from a guy of that caliber and just always trying to be a positive force everywhere he goes.”"
Again, it’s funny how the team that actually got away with an illegal hit to the head is complaining. Then again, it’s only one person. Kelce should probably just enjoy the win, because no one thinks Mahomes was hurt on purpose, not even Mahomes.
"“I think the next step for Baker, I’d characterize it for all of us: Continue to get better,” Stefanski said. “I think you saw growth from him as a player from the first game to the last. Really pleased with his progress and I think he recognizes that he has room to grow, like we all do. I think it’s just having that mindset that he’s going to constantly improve.”"
As hard as it is to see the season come to an end, the Browns should hold their heads high. They withstood a lot this year and still nearly made it to the AFC Championship Game. They’re young and hungry and this was just the beginning, not the end.

"“Cleveland makes roster moves after the conclusion of its 2020 season.”"
The Browns signed 14 players, including Derrick Willies, Ja’Marcus Bradley, and A.J. Green to a futures contract. The players added were all on the practice squad when the season ended.
Johnny Manziel’s attempted troll worse than his Cleveland Browns career
Yes, the ultimate NFL flame-out Johnny Manziel tried to troll the Browns for losing in the playoffs. The guy who hardly had an NFL career and never sniffed the playoffs is laughing at the Browns. Yeah, that should go over well.
