1. CB Marshon Lattimore

Marshon Lattimore has been one of the best corners in the NFL for the past four seasons and will be playing on his fifth-year option in 2021, which will pay him about $10.2 million. The Browns can afford that amount with some maneuvering around with other players, and reuniting Lattimore with his former Ohio State teammate Denzel Ward would create a CB tandem that rivals the Miami Dolphins’ Xavien Howard and Byron Jones.

The Browns clearly recognize how important secondary play is, and are sure to invest heavily in the position group this offseason. If Lattimore could be had for a reasonable price and could be extended at a reasonable cap hit, he does make some sense for a team with a legitimate Super Bowl window over the next few seasons.

Ward has practically zero help right now, so why not give him an All-Pro-level partner? It doesn’t seem possible to actually stop the Kansas City Chiefs passing attack, but having Lattimore and Ward on the boundaries would go a long way to at least slowing it down.

New Orleans will be making perhaps a historic number of moves this offseason to get themselves under the cap. The Browns would do well to take advantage of the Saints plight.
