These players should be considered by the Cleveland Browns, especially after seeing their stock soar at the Senior Bowl.

The Senior Bowl is always an event that gives players a chance to enhance their stock. The Cleveland Browns and scouts from all NFL teams attend the event, and unlike the NFL draft, talent evaluators get to see these players in-game action.

Often players that come from smaller universities get their first real chance to shine in front of scouts and coaches. This year in Mobile, AL was no different as there were several standouts who likely improved their stock by a round or more in the 2021 draft. Here are three players that were fantastic in the senior bowl and could be fit the Browns like a glove.

Quinn Meinerz: OL, Wisconsin-Whitewater

Perhaps no one has improved their stock more than Quinn Meinerz, the interior offensive lineman from Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater. Coming into the Senior Bowl, Meinerz was considered a day three pick likely in the fifth or sixth round.

However, his performance last week could have jumped him into the third or fourth round with a tremendous ceiling. Meinerz’s name was known across the NFL before, but his performance in Mobile week with a broken hand vs. top tier talent and has teams buzzing about him.

The Browns are solidified upfront in the middle for 2021, but this is a position that may need addresses as soon as 2022 with J.C. Tretter and Joel Bitonio in question. Bitonio is set to hit the open market after 2021 and could get big money in free agency, and Tretter could be a cap casualty after 2021 if the Browns had a viable backup.

Nick Harris from the 2020 draft and Meinerz from 2021 could be the perfect path forward if he makes it to the fourth round where the Browns have two picks. If he continues to skyrocket his value, the Browns likely have bigger needs in the first three rounds than the offensive line, but the powerful and athletic O-lineman would be a perfect system fit.
