D’Wayne Eskridge – Wide Receiver, Western Michigan

While the Browns have plenty of talent at wide receiver, there’s a belief that a large part of that may not be coming back in 2021. Rashard Higgins is currently not under contract and Jarvis Landry could free up a large amount of cap space if he was released or traded. Not to mention Odell Beckham is coming off a serious injury to his ACL.

Even if Higgins is the only player to not return next season, there is a clear need in a man to man beating wide receiver. D’Wayne Eskridge proved at the senior bowl he could be just that with a dynamite performance that has some believing he could now be drafted in the first round.

Eskridge has speed and tremendous route-running skills which are both crucial for a standout wide receiver in the NFL. With a loaded class at the position once again in 2021, there is a chance that he does slide into the second round.

The Browns could have an interest at pick No. 26 if no top cornerbacks or defensive lineman remain available, but Eskridge could be a steal if available in the second round for Cleveland. The Browns do have two third-round picks, one of which they could use to move up in round two to get Eskridge if they were inclined.

Many were impressed last week with Eskridge which will make it even tougher for the Browns to get him, but he would certainly look good in brown and orange in 2021.
