Looking at the 2021 Cleveland Browns offensive line

The Backups
Chris Hubbard, Nick Harris, and Kendall Lamm are the three primary backups and make the active day roster. Hubbard can play guard or tackle and is the sixth man, with Harris being the next man up in the interior and Lamm the fourth tackle.
Hubbard restructured his contract last offseason and was a tremendous asset before his injury. He has 2021 left and then he will become a free agent. While he would be a great swing player to keep who can play every guard and tackle, his services will likely be too much to keep around. Let’s hope he recovers from injury and has a productive 2021 before he likely finds a new team.
Harris was drafted by the Browns last year in the fifth round and was a real bright spot before his injury. He stepped in at guard after the injury to Hubbard and held his ground vs. some of the best defensive tackles in the league. With contracts coming up for a few interior lineman starters, Harris looks to be in the mix as a starter in the next two to three seasons. Callahan has worked wonders with Harris in one season, and with a full offseason, he could even surpass Hubbard in 2021 as the next man up at guard or center.
Lamm is the lone piece that is out of contract currently and will become a free agent. With a low salary, the Browns could choose to bring him back, especially if there is concern that Hubbard won’t be ready for the beginning of 2021. Alex Taylor could also be in for a promotion to the swing tackle if he progresses during this offseason. With other positions needing to be paid, Lamm is a nice backup luxury that will likely be gone in 2021.
