Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Trade Possibility: Not at all

This may be a tough one for Browns fans to swallow but sadly, I think it’s true. Joe Burrow was a victim of a terrible situation in his first year in Cincinnati. His offensive line is one of the worst, if not the absolute worst, in the league. His receiving weapons are inconsistent and his elite-level running back got hurt six weeks into the season. To cap that nightmare off, he suffered a torn ACL in November at the hands of the Washington Football Team’s defense.

Statistically, Burrow was having a very good year for a rookie quarterback, and he probably would’ve won Rookie of the Year had he stayed healthy. He has an incredible touch on his deep ball and his accuracy is already close to elite for an NFL quarterback.

He has the ability to make all the “NFL” throws and just needs time in the pocket to do so. The Bengals 2-7-1 record under Burrow doesn’t reflect what he was doing as a quarterback but rather the incompetency that the defense was showing week in and week out.

We saw what Burrow could do when given the opportunity to succeed in college at LSU but in his first year, he didn’t have those opportunities with the Bengals. If Cincinnati’s front office could get it together within the next few seasons, Burrow will be an MVP caliber quarterback and the Bengals will be a legitimate contender in the AFC.
