Daily Dawg Tags: Cleveland Browns are finally better than Steelers
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including an article about how Cleveland is finally superior to Pittsburgh
2021 has not been kind to the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Jan. 3. they lost to the Cleveland Browns to close out the regular season, and while they weren’t playing their starters in that one, things didn’t get better in the week that followed.
Jan. 10 gave us a re-match as the Steelers hosted the Browns in the Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs and this time, they were thoroughly embarrassed. Since then, they have been licking their wounds and trying to figure out how to get better.
The problem is, their options are thin. And they know this as they have publicly said they need to figure out what to do with their quarterback situation — which is understandable given how quickly Ben Roethlisberger fell apart in 2020.
For Cleveland fans, this is a moment to celebrate. They are not only the team that ended the season for Pittsburgh, but they could be the ones who put the nail in Big Ben’s coffin. And on top of that, they’re the superior franchise heading into the next season.

Cleveland Browns News
"“At some point, the Browns would no longer be under the cleats of the Pittsburgh Steelers. At some point, the Browns wouldn’t lose to Pittsburgh simply because Ben Roethlisberger stepped on the field and the orange helmets melted at the sight of him.”"
The Browns are getting hot just as the Steelers are cooling off. The NFL is cyclical and right now, fans in Northeast Ohio are feeling as great as they can about their team. The same can’t be said in the Steel City, and that’s fine by us.
Browns’ best sales pitch to J.J. Watt: No more double teams
"“But the budding Browns also have plenty to offer — including, most notably, an end to all those constant double teams.”"
Cleveland wants J.J. Watt to join them and they can make the amazing pitch that he won’t be double-teamed nearly as much as he was in Houston. Watt has been amazing even with the attention he’s received as a Texan but he’s also taken a beating, so this should appeal to him greatly.
Browns 7-round mock draft projects trade down out of 1st round — Nick Dudukovich
"“This Browns 7-round mock draft sees Cleveland trade down in the 1st round.”"
This mock having a trade-down would likely infuriate fans but Dudukovich does land a couple of quality defenders in the second-round still.
Cleveland Browns proven right about Carson Wentz, again
The Browns were right about Carson Wentz and while last season proved this, it was re-affirmed when the Eagles waived the white flag and traded away the No. 2 overall pick from 2016.
