Picking at the end of rounds is not new for the Browns (they usually own a good team’s selection), so they’re no stranger to the backend move-down.

Here, Cleveland drops eight spots to the top of the third round while turning a seventh-rounder into a high fourth-round selection. With the roster becoming more talented (and deeper) each offseason, late-round picks become less and less likely to make the team. Accumulating as many selections in the first four rounds is smart.

Swapping spots with another division rival for a seventh-rounder may seem like a waste, but Andrew Berry will never cease to add capital however he can. That pick isn’t worthless, either; perhaps a situation arises similar to how the Ravens stole Calais Campbell for just a future fifth-round pick.

At this value, Elijah Moore would be one of the draft’s biggest steals. He’d provide an explosive presence in the slot for the Browns, with the ability to win vertically, beat man coverage, and create yards after the catch. He’s also extremely reliable, and could even function outside if needed. Cleveland will be drafting a receiver early, and Moore is an excellent fit.
