It’s mock draft season again, but the Cleveland Browns are picking later than usual

It’s that time of the year again where Cleveland Browns fans are starting to get excited for free agency, and more importantly the 2021 NFL Draft, which is scheduled to be held in Cleveland.

While it’s still not perfectly clear how the draft will be handled with COVID-19, the Browns will be looking to add talent on both sides of the ball.

This will be a bit of a strange year; the Browns hold pick No. 26 after making the playoffs and winning their first playoff game since 1994. It feels like every other year for the last 20 seasons the Browns have had the number one overall pick. Well, let’s hope those days are over and dive into the first 10 picks of the NFL draft, as well as who we think the Cleveland Browns will take in round one.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars – Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

There hasn’t been a battle for the overall No. 1 pick this bad since Andrew Luck entered the league in 2012. While the New York Jets appeared to have the pick locked up, they gave it away with a few meaningless wins to end the season.

With a new head coach in Urban Meyer and loaded in cap space, look for the Jaguars to be all in with their new quarterback in Trevor Lawrence. While there was excitement over Joe Burrow last year, many believe Lawrence is an even bigger home run.

Lawrence has it all, size at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds, a huge arm, accuracy, and the ability to be mobile in the pocket. While these picks don’t always work out, Lawrence appears to be a no-brainer.
