Cleveland Browns get more explosive on both sides in 7-round mock draft
By Randy Gurzi
Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry is saying all the right things when it comes to Odell Beckham, Jr. He says the team wants OBJ back next season, and they should. While it’s true he and Baker Mayfield have yet to truly connect on the field, Mayfield didn’t really have the light bulb come in when it comes to working in Kevin Stefanski’s system.
It only makes sense to allow OBJ to show what he can do now that Mayfield is playing at a much higher level — and has more confidence in himself and the playbook. Even with that being true, the Browns would be wise to add more depth to the position not only to give them someone to compliment OBJ but to also stretch the defense should he be slowed down at all early on as he recovers from his torn ACL.
They land a player more than capable of doing that with their second pick, taking Tutu Atwell from Louisville. Atwell has game-changing speed which was on display in 2019 when he led the ACC in both receiving yards and touchdowns in 2019.
Overall, he had 139 receptions for 2,303 (an average of 16.6 yards per catch) and 20 touchdowns. Adding him to their offense makes them much more explosive, and as we saw in the Kansas City game, that’s something they need.
