2. Atlanta Falcons via New York Jets – Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

The Atlanta Falcons are in a tricky spot in more than one way. One, do they really want to draft a quarterback now? Matt Ryan is older, but still has another year or two left of solid football. Two, if they know they need to go quarterback because of being in the top five, will their guy fall to number four. The Falcons won’t risk the loss and jump to number two to get their guy.

Many speculate that the Falcons have their eyes set on quarterback Zach Wilson of BYU. Wilson appears to have all the talent in the world but has drawn some comparisons to Johnny Manziel. Not only was he a one-year wonder in college, but he also has some disciplinary concerns.

With a completely new organization for the Jets, the Falcons won’t risk getting their third QB choice and will make the leap up to number two.

3. Miami Dolphins – DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama

The No. 3 pick for the Miami Dolphins via the Houston Texans will be a tough one. They could very well go offensive line, but after seeing the star power of DeVonta Smith in the National Championship game, it may have sealed the deal for him to be a top-3 pick.

Smith doesn’t overwhelm you with size or speed, but he is a football player, and that is something that can’t be overlooked. Smith is an elite route runner and catches anything that is close to his body. While Tua Tagovailoa could certainly use some additional protection up front, he will certainly welcome a star receiver like Smith as well.
