The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Terry Pluto naming his No. 1 in-house free agent to retain

This offseason, the Cleveland Browns have a long list of free agents. As is always the case, some will re-sign but many of them will head to another club.

For the Browns, the players who did leave were often heading out of their own accord — looking for a better franchise. Now after turning things around, they seem to hold more cards this year than ever before when it comes to getting free agents to stay.

But who should be prioritized? That’s the question Terry Pluto answered, and his choice for the top player to retain is none other than wide receiver Rashard Higgins. Pluto continues from there, listing the rest of the pack to include players such as Terrance Mitchell, Larry Ogunjobi, and B.J. Goodson.

Free agents to keep? Making a list. Guess who is my No. 1? – Terry’s Talkin’ Browns — Terry Pluto, The Plain Dealer

"“Rashard Higgins: if you’ve been reading me for a while, it’s no surprise the receiver tops my list. He’s been one of my favorite players since being picked in the 5th round of the 2016 draft. When Higgins receives regular duty, he produces. Last week, I wrote at length about how he caught 37-of-38 “catchable balls according to Football Outsiders. And 31-of-37 catches went for first downs.”"

It’s hard to argue against the reasoning. Higgins simply produces and the fans love him. But most importantly, Baker Mayfield loves him and that should be enough to get the attention of this front office.

8-year-old sportscaster reps Cleveland Browns, spreads passion for football on YouTube channel — Camryn Justice, News 5

"“A young boy with a passion for sports is sharing his knowledge with viewers as he hosts his own broadcast—and his first professional interview was with a former Cleveland Brown.Craig Glattly is an 8-year-old boy who lives near Chicago, Illinois, but he has family ties back in Cleveland where his mom Courtney is from.”"

Glattly clearly has a future in front of a camera and it’s pretty impressive what he put together at such a young age. On top of that, he has great taste since he likes the Browns.

3 cap casualty veterans the Cleveland Browns should consider

Every offseason, there are several veteran free agents who get released due to their team needing to shed some salary. Greg Newland looks around the league and identifies three players who could be released for this reason that the Browns should kick the tires on —  assuming they do become available that is.
