3. Kenny Vaccaro, Safety

Another secondary player released from the Tennessee Titans recently was strong safety, Kenny Vaccaro. While Vaccaro isn’t an elite NFL player, he has started 11 plus games in each season of his 8-year NFL career with the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans.

What’s attractive about Vaccaro? He’s a veteran player who could come in and add a ton of experience at a relatively low cost. It appears that the Browns could bring in the 30-year old for likely under $5 million per year.

While Ronnie Harrison and Grant Delpit will be the likely starters in 2021, defensive coordinator Joe Woods wants to move more and more to the dime scheme with five secondary players and only two linebackers. Vaccaro would be a great backup option who can play if an injury happens and will still see a lot of playing time in Wood’s scheme.

With Karl Joseph and Andrew Sendejo out of contract, and Sheldrick Redwine struggling to develop, Vaccaro could be a signing that goes unappreciated and ends up being massive at the end of the year. Safety is a position the Browns are in need of, and Vaccaro may fit the bill perfectly for the 2021 season.
