3. Xavier Woods – Dallas Cowboys – 25

The Dallas secondary has not been good for the past few seasons (and dating back further than that, let’s be honest), but it has boasted some talented players, one of which is Xavier Woods. He can play either safety role, but is likely better suited to play away from the box.

2. Tashaun Gipson Sr. – Chicago Bears – 30

Playing for the Browns six years ago doesn’t eliminate a player from the list of potential targets. Tashaun Gipson is a free safety who has had productive campaigns with the Bears, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars, and made just $1 million last season. He’ll likely be around the same number in 2020, which is great value for a player of his caliber.

1. Andrew Adams – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 26

Another veteran minimum player, Andrew Adams has found some success in a backup role with both the Buccaneers and New York Giants, and could potentially do the same with the Browns. Playable depth in the secondary is so important, as last season proved.

There’s a good chance at least one of these players will be wearing an orange helmet next season. Which tier the Browns decide to pursue depends on how much extra money they can create over the next few days.
