The Cleveland Browns offense was good in 2020 and might not need much in free agency but they could look at these four sleepers

Last year, the Cleveland Browns offense proved to be good enough to lead them to 11 wins and a playoff victory despite a frustrating defense. This offseason, there have been countless cries to fix the defense, which is completely understandable.

What we haven’t heard much of, is an outcry to improve on the offensive side of the ball. Again, there’s solid reasoning behind this but the Browns front office isn’t likely to go with the status quo in 2021.

Instead, they’re likely to tweak the offense a bit as they try to take the next step in their development. With that in mind, we look at four sleepers in free agency on the offensive side of the ball who could improve the Cleveland Browns this season.

4. Breshad Perriman, Wide Receiver

A familiar face starts off our list as Breshad Perriman is again set for free agency. A first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens back in 2016, Perriman was let go after two seasons but found new life with the Browns in 2018.

That year, he had 340 yards on 16 receptions for two touchdowns but it was his 21.3 yard per reception average that really made an impact. His ability to get deep really made a difference and he’s continued to provide that for his past two clubs — recording 17.9 yards per catch for the Bucs in 2019 and 16.8 for the Jets in 2020.

Cleveland had an interest in bringing Perriman back in 2019 but he backed out of a contract when they traded for Odell Beckham, Jr. As long as he has no hard feelings about how all that went down, it could be a great reunion since he brings exactly what this offense needs more of — the ability to make a big play.
