1. Nelson Agholor, Wide Receiver

A former first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2015, Nelson Agholor was on his way to becoming a bust in the NFL. He was the final first-round pick in the failed tenure of Chip Kelly who wasn’t able to take over the league with his fast-paced offense and miracle smoothie machine as many pundits predicted.

Under Kelly, Agholor wasn’t able to do much at all but he started to turn things around when Doug Pederson took over. In 2017, he had 768 yards and eight touchdowns followed by 736 yards and four more touchdowns in 2018. Then in 2019, he regressed and had 363 yards and less than 10-yards per catch. On top of that, Agholor was widely criticized for his frequent drops which seemed to be a weekly occurrence.

He then joined the Las Vegas Raiders and found a new life. He finished 2020 with 896 yards on 48 receptions with eight touchdowns and a career-best 18.7 yards per catch. His ability to get deep was a huge benefit to the Las Vegas offense and the Browns should at least kick the tires to see about adding such a deep threat to their offense.

With Agholor, the concern would be whether or not the drops again become an issue but if the front office believes he can be as effective in 2021 as he was in 2020, there’s no reason not to show interest.
