Arizona Cardinals – Haason Reddick, EDGE

This is the easy choice from the Cardinals, a team that has almost all of their quality players locked up long term. If the Browns are going to look for an edge rusher in free agency and don’t want to throw absurd amounts of money at the top couple of guys, Haason Reddick is a very good option.

Reddick isn’t included on this list because I think he’ll be cheaper than the other guys at the position, he’s on here because he’s actually a very good, young, player that has a high ceiling still. We saw him breakout in 2020, recording a career-high 12.5 sacks, which was almost double the number of his past three seasons combined.

His consistency isn’t there which is troubling as we have often seen players overperform in a contract year just to revert back to mediocrity but with the team that the Browns have currently, they can afford a “good” edge rusher as opposed to a “great” one.

After spending the first couple of seasons as an inside linebacker, Reddick finally transitioned to the outside in 2020 and saw significant success. In his 2020 campaign, he put up a career-high 12.5 sacks, 16 quarterback hits, 15 tackles for loss, and 6 forced fumbles to go along with his 63 total tackles and 4 pass breakups. Oh yeah, he only started 11 games too.

He could be the answer that the Browns are looking for to line up across from Myles Garrett, we’ll just have to wait and see.
