2.59. 848. Purdue. RondaleMoore. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. player

There are two wide receivers with the last name Moore in this class, and both are excellent players. Rondale Moore has played in just seven games over the past two seasons due to hamstring, finger, and lower body injuries, but his talent was on full display during his record-breaking 2018 campaign, as he hauled in 144 passes for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns, while adding 213 yards and two scores on the ground.

At Purdue’s pro day, he put up blistering times in the three-cone (6.68 seconds) and the 40-yard dash (4.29 seconds), and jumped an insane 43 inches in the vertical.

The concern with Moore, beyond his injuries, is his size. He measured in at just 5-7, which places him in the first percentile of all NFL wide receivers.

It will be a hurdle for him to overcome in the pros, but while he may be short, he is not small; Moore is a well-built 180 pounds and has an extremely low center of gravity. He looks like an extra-agile bowling ball on the field, and his frame contributed to his elite tackle-breaking ability.

Moore has the ability to turn any touch into a long touchdown, as Ohio State fans know all too well. His lightning-quick feet give him the ability to create separation at will, and with an expanded route tree in NFL, that’s exactly what should happen. The Browns need some explosion and yards-after-catch in their wide receiver room, and Moore would bring both in droves.
