Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 4.110. player. S. Ohio State. ShaunWade. 812

Had Shaun Wade declared after the 2019 season, he likely would have been a mid-second-round pick with the potential to sneak into the first, even as a slot corner; his tape was that good. He returned to school to prove he could play on the outside and increase his stock even further.

The opposite happened. Wade was routinely picked on each week, culminating in an ugly performance in the National Championship Game.

And still, Wade is a massive steal at this point in the draft, because he has a skill set that was never properly utilized at Ohio State; he isn’t a boundary cornerback, and he’s not even a nickelback; he is a safety, and a versatile one.

Wade is a great tackler and is extremely willing in run support, both to make the stop and to take on blockers. He has fantastic zone instincts and feel for coverage, and is quick to react and sniff out plays when the action is in front of him.

Scouting Report. BYU. 4.132. player. Pick Analysis. DT. KhyirisTonga. 861

The problem with the Browns drafting a defensive tackle is that there isn’t really room for another; Cleveland already has four, and it’s hard to see them keeping five active on gameday. But Khyiris Tonga is far too good to be passed on here.

He’s a massive 6-3, 320 pounds with incredible and strength and impressive athleticism for a big fella. He can stand up well to double-teams and sheds blocks with ease, which is vital for tackles who are always going to be blocked due to the nature of the position.
