Are there any players the Cleveland Browns should trade up to land in the 2021 NFL Draft?

While there are still plenty of talented free agents left unsigned, the Cleveland Browns and most other teams in the NFL will start to focus on their draft boards. If they are unable to fulfill their needs there, you will then see a shift back to free agency.

After so much speculation last year, general manager Andrew Berry didn’t make any splashy trades in the NFL draft. While everyone knew they were going left tackle, there was some belief they may try to accumulate picks and take one later in the first round.

After a successful 2020 season, the Browns find themselves in a position they aren’t used to. A late first-round draft pick. For so long it feels like the Browns have been in the top ten of every single draft.

What does this mean? One, Berry better be on top of his game. The later the pick the less certainty there is a player will produce. It will be imperative the Browns draft well moving forward as they won’t be able to continue paying big money to free agents.

Two, with multiple picks in rounds three and four, the Cleveland Browns could be in a strong position to move up. With a talented roster, the team can afford to give up picks to get exactly who they want in this draft.

While it can be costly to move up, a first and third-round pick in 2021 and a later-round pick in 2022 could likely move them up 7-10 slots. If the Browns move up, who would they be targeting?  These three players could be worth trading up for if you’re the Browns.
