With the NFL free-agency period slowing down, take a look at this seven-round Browns mock draft that could take the roster to the next level

With the blues from free agency coming to an end, Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns will soon begin to turn their attention to the NFL draft. While adding talent in free agency is important, it is more important to draft well.

Some of the best teams in the league (minus Tampa Bay), sign limited free agents. They draft well and sign the one or two missing pieces in free agency. Unfortunately, the Browns were so bad that they have had to both.  But they seem to have turned the ship in the right direction.

This draft will be interesting, as taking the best available player won’t necessarily be an option. Their roster is loaded, and they are looking for one or two specific pieces to make this roster great. Check out this seven-round Browns mock draft that could take Cleveland to the next level.

Round 1 – No. 26: Micah Parsons – Linebacker, Penn State

Although the Browns have added talent at the linebacker position, there is still room for improvement. And with no worthy edge rushers on the board at pick No. 26, Micah Parsons sliding to the Cleveland Browns could be a dream come true.

Parsons is a true inside force with extreme athleticism to play sideline to sideline. Not only can be tremendous in run support, but he also had tremendous success rushing the passer at Penn State as well.

Although his coverage skills are lacking now, he certainly has the athleticism to improve. Parsons is a freak athlete whose ceiling is unmeasurable at the next level.

The only reason Parsons stock could slide is because of some questionable character issues at Penn State. If Berry has a chance to meet him face to face and realize that is in the past, Parsons is a steal at No. 26.
