TRADE

CLE receives 2021 early-50’s pick in exchange for 2.59 and 4.110

The Browns need some semblance of a vertical threat on the offense. The wide receiver room as it is currently situated wastes Baker Mayfield’s fantastic downfield passing ability, overlaps with the tight ends, and makes the running game less effective. Odell Beckham Jr. is talented enough to fix everything, but it would not be wise to count on that happening.

If the team is not willing to move on from any of the receivers this offseason (it will happen in 2022 at the latest), they’ll still need to add at least one. And in this scenario, they make sure they get their guy.

North Carolina. player. 838. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. DyamiBrown. 2.50-ish

Dyami Brown is a good athlete who averaged over 20 yards per catch over the last two seasons while hauling in 20 touchdowns. He has solid size at about 6-0 190 pounds and ran a 4.45-second 40-yard dash. He was targeted downfield all the time and while he’ll need to expand his route tree in the NFL, he has everything required to be a quality boundary target.

When the Browns run 12-personnel (which is often), Brown would likely be one of the two receivers on the field along with Beckham to keep the defense honest.
