The Cleveland Browns could look to move some players in the 2021 NFL Draft and if they did, these three would be the most likely candidates

With the 2021 NFL Draft just a couple of weeks away, the speculation about what the Cleveland Browns will do is at an all-time high.

Cleveland is fresh off an 11-5 season and they boast one of the better rosters in the NFL. That roster got even more impressive this offseason when general manager Andrew Berry added several players in free agency.

Now, the attention is back on the draft but the question around who they will pick at No. 26 isn’t the only one to answer. We can also ask about whether or not they will try and unload players to add more draft capital while also saving some cap space.

Here we look at three players who are the most likely to be traded by the Browns during the draft.

3. Mack Wilson, Linebacker

When Cleveland added Anthony Walker, it really improved the linebacker corps. There’s still room for more talent but Walker is a player capable of racking up a lot of tackles.

There’s also second-year pro Jacob Phillips, who was a third-round pick out of LSU. Phillips dealt with some injures as a rookie but showed he belonged in the NFL. In the Browns 4-2-5 defense, these two should be the primary options with Sione Takitaki, Malcolm Smith, and Mack Wilson fighting for a spot — as well as any rookies who may get added.

Out of all those names, Wilson seems like the most likely to be traded. He has the most name recognition and also has a lot of experience in his first two seasons in the league. Couple that with the changes made to the room and he could be a player dangled as trade bait.
