Here are three linebackers the Cleveland Browns could take in Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns have been active early and often in free agency, with the last addition of Jadaveon Clowney. Unfortunately, with that addition, the team decided to part ways with Sheldon Richardson, but the holes on defense continue to become fewer and fewer.

General manager Andrew Berry made it his main priority to improve this defense, and there are zero arguments that he has done that on all three levels.

In the secondary, he added John Johnson (safety) and Troy Hill (cornerback), both of who will be instant impact players for the team. At linebacker, he brought in Anthony Walker. Although Walker wasn’t a top prospect, he is the perfect fit for this defense and has proven he can provide huge production numbers.

The biggest upgrade he made on defense was the line. At defensive end, he added Clowney and Takk McKinley. Both have been starters in the league and will form a deadly rotation with Myles Garrett. After the release of Richardson, the addition of Malik Jackson is also that much more important for the defense in 2021.

With all these strong additions, the million-dollar question now becomes what the Browns will do in the 2021 draft. They could go the conservative route and draft a cornerback. With uncertainty with Greedy Williams, this may be the safe play.

Another passive move Berry could make is going wide receiver in round one. The writing is on the wall that Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry are luxuries that won’t be around forever, and this would just show he is preparing for the future.

The most aggressive and smartest move (if you ask me), would be solidifying this team and drafting a linebacker in round one. Here are three that would be worthy.
