Several of these are understandably based solely on television markets, Pennsylvania and New York. Others are based more on where the players come from whether that be where they played college football or just where they are known for being from.
Looking at colleges, for instance, Texas, sitting at number eight on the list, has seen several notable college players play for Cleveland. Names such as Colt McCoy and Phil Dawson out of UT and Myles Garrett and Johnny Manziel out of Texas A&M.
Oklahoma being ranked in the top 15 is a no-brainer as Baker Mayfield tore up the college football scene coming out of OU en route to becoming the first overall pick and the face of the franchise.
With the success of the 2020 Browns, expect to see more and more fans appear nationwide. It may be time to say it, move over Cowboys! There’s a new America’s Team.
